Multilingual Sharepoint site - English/French: Dual date entries

Asked By: Brendan    Date: Sep 19    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1846

I have setup a multilingual site - with site variations. The English site is
the root site and the French the target site.
When I create a calendar list in the English or French site, the Calendar shows
dual date entries: i.e. 27, (27), 28 (28))in Day, Week and Month views

I have escallated the issue to Microsoft and they don't seem know anything about
it. They are still investigating.

I don't think it will be this, but double check the regional settings at all
levels and make sure you haven't selected an alternate calendar. That's
normally when the dual  day numbers show up.

Somehow, the variation sites creation process has enabled an additional Regional
Settings (Alternate Calendar) default option on the sites that would a regular
site creation process. After turning that off, the calendar  display went back
to normal.
