Move sites from one URL to another

Do you know of a way to either rename a URL or move all of the sub-
sites to another location? Both are within the same Site Collection.

/sites/cssd/pmo -> /sites/cssd/pfo

Try smigrate. There's a parameter that says to include sub-sites.

I'd investigate smigrate first. But I think that FrontPage can do this
too. I can't remember whether you would use a Export/Import FWP or a
Backup/Restore FWP. Whichever one allows you to choose what you want to
move. The 10 MB limit is lifted for FWPs too.

I don't think you can rename  a top level site, but you can rename sub
sites under a top level site.

Can you rename  a top-level site  by opening it in FrontPage, then
going to "Tools" and "Site settings" and changing the "web name"?
I've renamed a sub-site using this, but I haven't tried w/ a top-
level site.

But this should at least work for the sub-sites. I did it, and it
didn't *seem* to break anything.

You can do it through Frontpage how Kat outlined, or through the
STSADMIN tool using the rename  Subweb command (I think - can't find doc
at the moment).
