moss2007 log file issue

Asked By: Reed    Date: Jun 10    Category: MOSS    Views: 1062

I have a thirty day old install of MOSS2007 and am in a pickle. The log
files located a C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web
Server Extensions\12\LOGS have gone from zero space to 8.5 gigs . At
that rate I will run out of space next month on c$ of my front end

My questions are these:
1)Can I compress them with out worry
2) Can I delete them with out issue
3) What is causing the files to grow so rapidly

Any ideas?

You can delete  them. On the Mindsharp Premium content site (just look at
the top at www.mindsharp.com) there is a FREE logging script and
information. You probably have your logging settings in Central Admin,
Logging and Reporting set too high.
