I noticed that suddenly my search stop working. Thne I checked in CA,
and noticed that whenever I click on "Search Setting" in SSP, it is
givimg me error that "serach services are offline...". I google
various article and followed

As per the article I follow the steps after that I am able to see my
search settings. But after creating content source, I noticed that it
is showinf old crawl items (1155). Earlier it was 5000+ items. Then I
did FUL CRAWL, but no luck. nothing updated.

Then I type Stsadm -o spsearch -action fullcrawlstart

Nothing happened. I am not in a position to create another SSP, as it
is live site.

What will be the best way to do make this workable?

Here is my scenerio
1. Front end server - 1 with CA
2. Front end dserver for load balancing
3. Search Server
4. Database Server

I also tried Reset Crawl from CA, nothing happend seems it hangs or
time out.

I tried various thing and now very less hair to pull from my head.
