MOSS Kerberos, sites won't load

Asked By: Ciera    Date: Aug 02    Category: MOSS    Views: 804

I have MOSS, 64 bit, 2 servers + DB server.
1 server is for CA/Web
the other is for Search/index.
I have added SPNs and followed all steps in Martin Kearn's article
(great by the way, but still have work to do).
DO you have to setup SPN for search username which hits the
Search/index box? I can only get CA to load, nothing else. I have
created a My sites, portal and SSP admin site, but can't get to them..
I can't figure out if its network config here or something else?
anyone have the same problem or some insight.

Can you access the URL but get constantly prompted for
authentication? Or does it just not load? If it is the Authentication you
need to make sure that the URL's you are using are added  as SPN's to the
application pool accounts you are using. If you have already done this then
add the URL's to your intranet zone as a test. This will then do automatic
login.

Yep, added  them as Trusted Sites, configured SPNs for each app pool user,
made sure computers/users are setup  as Trust Delegation in AD. You only
need to create the HTTP/ SPNs correct?

Yes you normally only need to add them as HTTP SPN's. If you
have added  them to the trusted zone have you ensured that the "auto logon"
option is ticked for this. Trusted Zone doesn't allow automatic login by
default, but Intranet Zone does.
