MOSS calendar - daily digest

Asked By: Phenil    Date: Aug 22    Category: MOSS    Views: 1441

I know you can set up alerts on lists, including calendars...but they are geared toward changes. We have a need to have the ability to get a daily email of everything on a team calendar for the current day. Similar to alerts, it would be best to have the users subscribe to such, instead of it getting automatically sent out. Does anyone know how to do this, or if there is a product out there that will provide this functionality? We are migrating team calendars from Lotus Notes and that platform provided it out of the box...so our users are complaining.

With my understanding of MOSS, it not possible out of the box  to achived this result. You will need custom development like a timer job or with a third party tools. You can look at Alert plus webpart from bamboo solution. It should give you the result you want. It cost 700$ per server and you have a 15 day  trial.

If you find something else, let us know.
