MOSS auditing

Asked By: Bhavika    Date: Oct 09    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 799

We need to audit one and only one single list in the whole site collection.
Initially I thought I might be able to do this by applying Infomation
Management Policy to this list, but it doesn't work. All other lists/document
libraries are also audited.

Any idea how to do this, or it has to be a code-driven customization?

You could try applying  the auditing  to the content types for the list.
Just be sure that the content types are unique to the list  and are not
used elsewhere.

Or you can customize the appropriate the form page to include your
code to record the viewing action. For example, you can override the
onLoad event to record the action into SharePoint list.

I have done this before and I can give you further directions if needed.
