If MOSS 2007 works on .NET framework 3.0 and ASP.NET works on 2.0 platforms, how are the two of

I have one doubt.It would be great if somebody can clear !!

If MOSS 2007 works on .NET framework 3.0 and ASP.NET works on 2.0 platforms,
how are the two of them compatible?

They work together because .NET framework  3.0 is a later backwards compatible
version of .NET framework 2.0. ASP.NET is part of the .NET 2.0 framework. .NET
framework 3.0 is just .NET framework 2.0 with the addition of Windows
Presentation Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Workflow
Foundation, and Card Spaces. The ASP.NET portion of the framework didn't
change.
