MOSS 2007 Search not working

We've had MOSS 2007 installed and working for several months now.
Today we've run into a problem that's got me stumped.

All of the search functions (people and sites) returns a HTTP 404 -
File Not Found error. Even clicking on the Advanced Search link
returns a 404 page. As far as I know, there's been no configuration
changes to the server. Has anyone run into this problem and more
important, how did you fix it. Does anyone have any pointers what to
check?

Found the problem. It appears that our search  site had been deleted. Added
it back in and all search functions are now working  again!
