How do you move a web application from one port to another?

I have an application at <server name>:15420 and I want to move it to
port 80, but I'm not sure how to!

My favorite way is to add a new application and reattach the content
databases. I imagine you could change the port  in IIS, and also modify
alternative access mappings, restart iis and you'd be good to go.

Be ready to undo it though, cuz I've never tried that before.

You must change the port  in IIS on every WFE Server in the farm for that
IIS 6.0 Virtual Server. You must then change the default Internal URL
(Alternate Access Mapping) in Central Admin, Operations, AAMs
