MOSS 2007 Documents Converter

I realized that MOSS 2007 is able to convert Office 2007 DOCX and DOCM
files to HTML web pages. However, what can I do to make MOSS 2007 be
able to convert Office 2003 word files to HTML (DOC->HTML)?

Also, is there any available documents converter which converts Word
file to PDF within SharePoint?

The document converter can only convert XML documents to html.

You would first need a converter from Word 2003 to XML format.

It's not free, but I've had good luck using the libraries from Aspose
to manipulate Office documents (generating them, altering them,
turning them into PDFs, etc.) on servers. I've used it in web parts
and in regular applications, as have several others at the office.
