Moss 2007 Backup issues

Asked By: Keaton    Date: Oct 04    Category: MOSS    Views: 815

We have a test environment running Moss 2007 Beta 2TR and are having
some issues with the backup and was wondering if any one is having a
similar issue. When you attempt to do a backup under backup location
we placed a folder called backup on search server. When I try to
backup to that location it gets a message stating Directory c:\backup
does not exist or the sql server service account and the
DAKTRONICS\Sptest service account do not have permission to read or
write to the backup folder. Specify a different directory. Now if I
make a folder with the same name on the web server it backs up but
writes the backup files to the search backup folder. I am not sure why
it could not find the path if that folder does not exist on the web
server but yet writes to the search server does anyone know why this
happens?
