MOS 2007 SQL 2000->2005 Move

  Asked By: Connor Vazquez         Date: Jan 22, 2007      Category: MOSS      Views: 215

Due to a hardware failure I'm gong to need to setup a new SQL server.
I've decided that it'll be better just to move to SQL 2005 at the time
of reinstallation.

Is there anything special I need to do to move MOSS 2007's DBs to SQL
2005?

I'll be using SQL 2005 x64, and coming from SQL 2000 SP4.

The answer is that I simply detached the DBs and the reattached them on the SQL
2005 server without appearant issue.

I did not upgrade them to SQL 2005 via an import, as I've no idea if that's the
proper procedure.
