Modified date on all documents keeps changing

  Asked By: Aditiya Katakol         Date: Oct 28, 2009      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 282

We have a strange problem at our site. We have a simple set up,
using SPS V1 on a black-boxed win2k server in a nt4 environment.
Recently a problem that we have been experiencing, is the modified
date on all documents changes every single day for all documents.
If you look though the web folder or IE the senario is the same. I
have tried iniating a full index but that has not rectified the
problem. This problem exists on the default content source which
indexes all the documents. I think it is a indexing issue but cannot
qualify that.

Has anyone come across this problem?

Any ideas on what path to take forwards would be greatly appreciated.

What's the timestamp of the file? Does it match the indexing  time? Or
perhaps the time that backups or some other scheduled task runs?
