"Missing from Import" profiles are not deleted even after more than

I have been running the full import 4 times since this morning.However, the
profiles that were already missing from import this morning are still in the
profile database (and if you search for them in SPS, you find them). I checked
between imports if those profiles were still "missing from import" and they
were.

Any idea why I can't get rid of those "missing from import" profiles"?

I can setup remote access via Terminal Server and we can
work out arrangemtns for payments with a retainer. It is not a high
pressure project but we have clients that want to have remote access
to their documents and we are almost there.
