I want to do the Migration of SharePoint Portal 2003 which is currentlyavailable in 32 bit environment. Now i want to migrate it to 64 bit environment along with the upgrading toMOSS 2007 .will it directly upgradee to 64 bit environment of MOSS 2007?anybody has idea about this other and guideline documents what steps to do?
Basically, you want to do a clean install onto your 64bit hardware and thenmigrate your content.
But is 32 bit SharePoint2003 content will migrate to new 64 bit environment, will it support?or it will give any errors?
Content is content, it's stored in the SQL database. How you get thatcontent over is the thing. There are a couple of ways it can be done, partlydepending on size, time constraints etc.
I want to know that contetnt databse of SPS 2003(32 bit ) afterrunning prescan toolcan it migrate to 64 bit MOSS 2007 machine directly or any other stepsto be taken for this.will this support or not ? or I have to carry following stepslike migrate to MOSS 2007 (32 bit ) and then Migrate to the MOSS 2007(64 bit)as per the article byHow to move a SharePoint Server 2007 32-bit environment to a 64-bitenvironment on Windows Server 2008.
