Migration of subsite

I need to backup only a subsite and restore it in different hierarchy.
I explored various options and found out migration tool as solution.
But this method does not migrate the users of the site.

Three things:

1.)There is a way I can take the users along with the subsite?
2.)Is there any better way of migrating the subsite?
3.)Is there a way I can take backup of only users and restore it?

Any tips/pointers appeciated.

You can take bacup of a subsite only with smigrate.

There is no way that yo can get those users in it. You can not even tae backup
of users seperately. Fom excel use get data and get all the users from the
manage users page and then add them to your sitemanually.

I dont thin there is any other way.

you were spot on. There isnt other mechanism to get this done. Atleast
with the current product, we can expect changes in the next release/SP's...

There are no other supported workarounds, but you may be able to use
