Migrating SQL backend to remote SQL cluster

We are planning to migrate our currant SQL (SQL 2000)to a remote SQL
Cluster (SQL 2005). The Move instructions from Microsoft
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=894164) seem clear enough. Can
someone advise what steps to take before and after the migration to
ensure integrity of the portal once it is on the new SQL server? Would
also appreciate any "head-up" or "got-cha" info on the MS process.
