Migrating from Single Server to Small Farm

I am trying to migrate from a single server to a 2 server
configuration. I
want to keep my curent single server as the 'SQL role' and turn the 2nd
server into the WFE/Search server. *Suprisingly* I have been unable to
find
documentation to cover this. Can anyone assist!
