Migrating sharepoint to new server

Anybody have step by step guide on how to move sharepoint to a new
server?

I'm doing an sbs migration to a new server while retaining name space
and would like to know the fastest and easiest way to backup and
restore the sharepoint site to the new server.

my fingers got away from me on that reply.. 2 typos..

correct url is http://www.mindsharp.com

and I meant to say "Premium Content Area" instead of "private..."

Goto www.midsharp.com and signup for Premium Content (it is free) and there is a White Paper about moving to another SQL server. If you are not moving the SQL server you can install SharePoint Portal on the new sever and then restore the portal to the new server.
