Is there a tool that can migrate permissions from a WSS v2 subweb to aWSS v2 web.SMIGRATE is the tool I use for these type of migrations but it does notkeep permissions as STSADM does.I need to be able to copy the permissions from the subweb includingdocument library specific permissions.
WSSUserUtil will back a web's permissions up and will also restore them to itsnew location. We've used it in conjunction with SMigrate a couple of times. It's not perfect, as it can't handle things like inheritence very well. Butit's much better than nothing.
Where can I download it from.
The link's moved around. Have you searched for it in your favorite searchengine? I'm sure you'll be able to find it pretty quickly that way.
I found SPSUSERUTIL 2.5.Is that it?
I *think* they were all part of the same bundle. Seems to me it was all in the"Sharepoint utility suite." I don't have any SPS installations, so I probablywould have ignored the SPS version of the utilities.
I found it.It does belong in the same bundle.
