Migrating docs with spin and spout

I have heard MS is coming out with the spin and spout utilities to
migrate documents from SPS2001 to SPS2003. I would like to know more
about when these will be available and what they will actually
provide. Anyone have any information?

SPOUT (export) and SPIN (import) are expected to be published this quarter.

They will enable content in either SPS 2001 workspace document libraries or SPS 2003 backward compatible document stores (both web storage based) to be migrated to SPS 2003 content stores based on SQL Server.
