Migrating Application from SPPS 2003 to MOSS 2007

Asked By: Wendy Warren         Date: Aug 08, 2009      Category: MOSS      Views: 409

We have a SharePoint 2003 Enterprise Portal and each site under the
/sites/ directory has a Work Priorities list. I have an application
that uses the SharePoint Object Model to iterate through each site and
display selected items from each of the team Work Priorities lists on
the front page of the portal.

We are preparing to migrate to MOSS 2007. I copied the application
folder to a development MOSS 2007 server and when I open the solution
with Visual Studio 2005 it converts the solution and upgrades it. The
problem I'm have is that that it tells me that some of the functions
are obsolete. I've searched the MOSS SDK but haven't been able to find
how to open the portal and do a loop through the sites under the
sitedirectory.
