Migrate SPS 2003 Multiple Portals to MOSS 2007

I have a few questions about migrating SPS 2003 portals to MOSS 2007.

1) Are portals in SPS 2003 considered SSPs in MOSS 2007?
2) Is there any documentation for migrating portals from SPS 2003 to MOSS 2007?

We currently have 5 portals in our SPS 2003 environment and will need to move
these to MOSS 2007.
