We are upgrading from SPS 2003 to MOSS 2007. We had 83 site
collections in SPS, and we are only going to have 5 in MOSS. We
upgraded to MOSS successfully, but the problem now seems to be with
moving site collections under other site collections ("demoting"

We were using STSADM for this, but we were losing the customizations
of all list view web parts. We started using DocAve to do this
process instead (backup and restore tool). We are doing that
successfully (much faster and preserves the list view web part
customizations), BUT we have found a few flaws.

One thing we have found is that all meeting workspaces now have the
default tab (typically called "Home," but DocAve renames it w/ the
site title), but two other tabs were created, both called "Home".
When I try to delete these via the site settings/navigation, it
appears to let me delete them, but then they remain there. I can't
figure out how to delete these permanently.

We have found some other strange things, like DocAve keeps creating
some new basic OOB team site lists, which is annoying but not
technically a problem.

Another problem we discovered that didn't seem directly linked to
DocAve but rather the upgrade process itself: we have a custom list
that has start and end date fields. We have a calendar view of the
list that is based on these date fields. In MOSS, the calendar is
showing things incorrectly in the month view (and only the month
view, it seems). The calendar makes it look like something that
starts on Sept 22 instead starts on Sept 28, but when you click on
the item, you can clearly see the start date is Sept 22. I have no
idea why this is happening. I even created a new calendar view, but
it continues to happen.
