Metadata Fields are not going to Record Center

When I send a document to the record center, all the metadata does not
get copied. The Title, Lookup and Person/Group fields do not get
copied to record center. I can see those values in the xml file under
properties but cannot see those metadata under "view properties".

In order to copy over the properties  you need to use the same content type in the target record  center document  library, and also set it as a default content type.

I have the exact same issue with teh Title column. Anyone know of a workaround or a solution?
