McAfee PortalShield antivirus problem - Sharepoint Portal Server 2003

I have installed the McAfee PortalShield anti-virus software (trial version) on a clean installation of Sharepoint Portal Server 2003. In doing so, it has caused file uploading to document libraries to fail. Once the file upload form is submitted the page takes a really long time to load, then pops a login window that fails no matter what login is used.

Anyone seen this before? Is there a workaround?

Any other information / opinions of McAfee PortalShield would be appreciated.

One of our client had number of issues with PortalShield. We recommended to uninstall for the time being as the product seemed unstable.

Issues like IIS process recycling 20 times/day or IIS failing because of PortalShield
