Masterpage Issues

  Asked By: Lauren    Date: Nov 18    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1006

We've been developing our own custom master page for a publishing
site collection, all through SharePoint Designer and it works well.
Since we have the page done for a release, we decided to package it
up as a feature and begin our deploy/elevation process using features
instead of using SPD.

We packaged it up, reset the site to use default.master, deleted all
our masterpage files from the site, activated the feature, and set it
to use our own masterpage which was deployed via feature. Everything
seems to work correctly, except for the default.aspx pages that come
when creating a new site. Even the default.aspx that existed at the
top-level site now throws an error when it didn't before moving to a
feature. The Top level site we have is Publishing-enabled, some of
the subsites are and others aren't, and they all use the same
masterpage (they inherit from the parent).

The error we're getting is this:
[InvalidOperationException: Operation is not valid due to the current
state of the object.]
Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFolder.get_ContentTypeOrder() +414
Microsoft.SharePoint.SPContext.get_ContentTypes() +648

We are unable to pin down what's causing the issue. Anyone run into
this before?
