How many users in a portal area have their Alerts set up?

If I'm an admin, is it even possible to check how many users in a portal area have their Alerts set up? And if so for what? Maybe by OM.

What's in the link, I created an account too, nothing happened. If you mouse over the navigation on the left column, the page is acting weired, something to do with the style sheet I guess.

Site Settings | Go to Site Administration |Manage user alerts  |
Select User

I'm very new to site administration for Sharepoint. Can you tell me
why when I follow the directions you stated below, it doesn't display
all the users  on my site...only certain ones? Does it only display
those that have set  up alerts? Or is there a way for me to set alerts
up for users instead of having them do it themselves?

Ye sit only displays those who have aleerts on that site
