i was trying to work with users and profiles..IN the sitesettings i didn'tfind Manage profile databas elink..i tried to activate some feature.still theproblem exists...can anybody please give a solution for this problem.
You can't manage profiles in the Site Settings page of a site or sitecollection. profiles are part of a Shared Service Provider and must bemanaged from the Shared Service Provider site. You can reach the SSPthrough the Central Administration site. You should also be aware thatProfiles don't exist in a WSS only installation. You need at leastMicrosoft Office SharePoint Server standard edition to gain access toprofiles.
