How to Mail Integration

I am very new with SPPS, I am trying SPPS 2003 what I want to ask is how to
integrate it with mail server.. so I can compose, read email thru SPPS..

SPS 2003 includes web parts that allow you to connect to Exchange 2000/2003
(using OWA under the covers). They are available from the web part gallery in
each My Site.

But how if my mail server isnot ms. product? ..do you have any idea? ..
please advise..

That depends entirely on which product you are using then. If the mail server
has any sort of web interface, you could use a Page Viewer web part pointing to
that interface. If not, you'll probably need a custom web part of some kind.
