Mail enabled document libraries, lists, etc.

Asked By: Julianne Luna         Date: Oct 18, 2009      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 263

When mail enabling document libraries, lists, etc and a user sends an
email with an attachment it is pretty difficult to keep the attachment
with the body of the email message for tracking purposes. Anyone know
of the best practice or configuration or feature to enable this kind of
functionality? The email comes in with the attachment but is not kept
within the same content.

When you enable  grouping, though, it automatically puts the content
in folders.

On the Incoming email  Settings page, in the "Email attachments"
section, you can choose to group by subject or group by sender.
When the grouping is enabled, the email body  and email attachments
are all automatically put together in a folder.

Does that help?

That does help. I will implement the suggestion to
determine the end result.
