Lost all audiences

Asked By: Blair Moses         Date: Mar 17, 2005      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 165

Last night we did a restart after a windows update. This morning all
webparts that had audiences defined are showing for all users, and the
option within the webparts to add audiences is gone.

I am frantically googling it, but if anyone has any hints please
respond.

Nevermind. After doing an IISRESET the problem cleared itself up.

I hate sharepoint (but it's more a love/hate).

That functionality is controlled by a RuntimeFilter tag in the web.config. You can see if the tag is present in the web.config. You can copy the tag from another portal and everything should work if that’s all that’s missing.
