Losing data in optional sections of Infopath

Asked By: Mathew    Date: Feb 22    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1182

I have an infopath form with three optional sections for
Change Management
Service Risks
Pipeline Projects

They all feed into one Infopath library for a high level management
view so I created the form with optional sections that can be
depending on the section that needs to be filled in.

I noticed that if I fill in ten fields or select something from drop
down lists and then collapse the optional section and expand it
all the information is cleared. I'm sure this will happen a lot
because there are so many choices in each section so if someone has
fill out the first and last sections, instead of scrolling down it is
a logical option to collapse the section that has been filled in. At
least it was logical to my mind.

Is there a way to save information entered and then collapsed (or
hidden as the menu item says "Hide section X" without actually
submitting the form and then going back to fill in the next section
editing the form?
