Lookup in SharePoint?

Asked By: Tarak    Date: Oct 22    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1257

I have a SharePoint site with a long list of events (including the
locations of all events). I also have a separate list of zip codes, and
I need to be able to identify the events that occur within any of the
zip codes in my list (just a yes/no flag in a calculated column would
be fine). I have no problem doing this in Excel - I've been using the
COUNTIF function. But I haven't been able to figure out how to
replicate this in SharePoint. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I think you can use filter function  which is provided by sharepoint  out-
of-box fuction.

As I dont know if the lists reside in the same site  or not, I suggest
that if you need look up column  cross site, you can use this solution:
It provide more than cross-site lookup  function for you, you can filter
field and convert cross-site lookup into default lookup field.
