Does anyone know where or how I can change the link that is
associated with the portal logo (top left)?

There are two ways of doing it, one is to open the page in FrontPage and change  the image, and 2nd is replace the file at http://portalsrv/_layouts/images/sitelogo.gif where “portalsrv” is Ur server name.

I can change  the logo  image
and I prefer to do it at the [Site Settings][Change portal  Site
Properties...]. Change of the logo image in this single place will
realise it in all pages of the portal. Pretty good mechanism for
changing the logo for all pages of the portal. However, what I was
after is changing of the link  that is associated with the logo image
which is the URL of the home page of the portal which is set by
default when SPS is installed. I want to change that link to
something else. Why? I want to use the logo link as a mean of
navigating back from a divisional portal to the corporate portal.
Our logo on divisional portals is the same. It is the logo of our
multi-portal intranet (branding). I am looking for a similar
mechanism (similar to changing the logo image) for the logo link -
changing it once (at one place); realise it everywhere...
