Login Promot when click item in the search results

Asked By: Tameka    Date: May 05    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1109

When I search a word as anonymous user on a sharepoint site, I can see a
file which is under draft status show up on the search result. And I got
a login prompt when I click on this content in search results.

Isn't SharePoint supposed to remove this content out of search results
if anonymous user does not have access to this draft file?

Anyone has similar experience on this?

Yes, I also would not expect such to happen and the only exception I can
think of is that the doc was in the index in draft  and open to public.
Subsequently, permission was changed but the next crawl has not taken
place. Thus, you can search  and find the doc (because it was in the
index with public access) but when you clicked on it, the current
permission took effect. By now, maybe the crawl has taken place and such
should not happen. Let me know if this makes sense and if your
experience has changed since the crawl.

I am certainly interested if you have found out that the reason is
otherwise.

I did have a full crawl and the document still shows up in the search
result and asks for prompt  when clicking.
