Location 3rd party control assemblies for use in workflow

Asked By: Brandon    Date: Oct 31    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 752

I am using the SharepointBoost 'Discussion column' add on in my lists. I want
to access one of these columns in my workflow code but of course these are 3rd
party control types and are not known.

So I am trying to locate an assembly to add to my project, and all I can find is
a file in Temporary files named:

App_Web_brandysoft_sharepoint_discussion_column_templates.ascx.5f1d2a77.uwzckl62\
.dll

Obviously this is no use to me because I'm in a workflow project in Visual
Studio which is compiled separately from the site itself...

I'd ask SharepointBoost which makes these components but I can't seem to get a
response from them, or even get permission to post on their forums.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I don't know the name of the dll you need, but if it's a custom column  it has to
be in the GAC (C:\windows\assembly).
