I have a list on a MOSS site created by uploading an Excel 2003
file. The data is ~15 columns x ~65 rows, all alpha, BUT many cells
contain 600, 700, 800 characters with line breaks here & there
within cells.

It seems to upload OK, but, arbitrarily the font in AllItems view
changes from cell to cell. I guess this is OK.

I really want to change the column widths, so I fired up SPD.
1) I never can get the XSLT to render, it quits after 10-15 minutes
with
"WebPartPages:ListViewWebPart - One of the properties of the Web
Part has an incorrect format. Windows SharePointServices cannot
deserialize the WebPart. Check the format of the Properties and try
again."
2) what to do?

On a much smaller, simpler list with the AllItemsView, using SPD,
how do you adjust column width of header row & column cells at the
same time? I cannot find a way to select a whole column. They seem
to have independent settings.
