list template and hidden field

I created a new content type which inherit from item.
I change the title field (coming from the item content type) to a hidden field, because I don’t want it to be displayed in the new\edit form.
I saved a template from this list.
But when I created a new list from this template, the title was changed to optional and was displayed in the new\edit form.

I just tried this and found no problem. Before you saved the list template, did you add your new content type to the list, and remove any other content types?
