Could anyone provide a process on determining the GUID for a custom list
column? I can't seem to find this anywhere.

There can be many ways to determine this.

I will recommend you using SharePoint Manager a code plex application. It is
very very useful appication for a sharepoint developer.

Are there any ways to discover this via the browser? We have a number of users
who require this data and I'm not too excited about deploying a codeplex
application to the group at large.

Go to the list  settings of the list and copy the guid  from the URL after List=

That's for the list  overall. I'm looking for the GUID of a particular column
within that list.

Since you can get the GUID programmatically why don't you write a quick web
part that brings all of the lists into a list  box and spits out the column  GUIDs
for the selected list? Maybe a grid with some jQuery?! I'm salivating already!

If I only had the expertise to do so! I'm your garden variety admin trying to
provide this data to some of our SSRS consumers.
