I'm adding links on our SharePoint 2007 portal. I'll add a link, save the link.
When I browse the link, it's pointed to somewhere else, it's a broken link.

Senero: I'm adding a link, pointing to another portal site on the same server,
same farm. When I save the link, the URL prefix changes to the portal site
where I'm saving the link.

Example:

I'm on my portal site:
http://research.xxx.xxx.xxx

I add a link to a link list, or a content editor web part:
http://cm3.xxx.xxx.xxx/CMO/Pages/default.aspx

I save the link and it turns into:
http://research.xxx.xxx.xxx/CMO/Pages/default.aspx

If I create links to any site not hosted on our server, the links do not change.

Very frustrating....
Can anyone tell me wht's going on and how to correct it?
