I know you can link  a calendar list  and a contact list to Outlook but
can someone store something like mail items in SharePoint and link that
to Outlook as well?

For example could I take a PST of mail items then upload it to a list
then link it into Outlook?

You can email enable a document library and hook it up into a public folder on
Exchange, if that helps at all.

I would
rather the repository be in SharePoint but this might work.

We have a recurring meeting setup on a team site for every Wednesday 0900-1000 am. I linked it to my Outlook 2003. I then did a drag and drop from the SharePoint Calendar in Outlook to my personal calendar in Outlook so I could get alert notifications. My personnal calendar was populated but the start time on each occurance was set to 1000-1100 am. If i open the series it shows correctly as:
Occurs every Wednesday effective 10/12/2005 until 12/7/2005 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM (GMT-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada). I had to open each occurance and change the start time to 0900 am. Has anyone experienced this? COuld it be that we are using Exhange 5.5?
