Is there a way to configure and selectively import profile automatically from
active directory instead of doing a "Start full import" under Manage Profile
Database.

For example out of 5 ladap users , I want to import only 3 users whose
department is IT.

You can do this by use the "Custom Source" setting. To do this, click on the
link for "Source of user  set"" in the "Manage Profile Database" page. Once you
choose "Custom source you will be take to the Manage connections page which will
allow you to setup a custom import  set.

I choose "Custom Source" and set up the "user filter" as follows

(&(objectCategory=Person)(objectClass=User)(&(msHideLists=FALSE)))

msHideLists is a boolean field in LDAP. I don't want to import  the users whose
"msHideLists" property is TRUE.

What I found was if i do a Start incremental import it is importing all the user
profiles. If i do a Start full import it not picking up any users form ldap.

do i need to delete the existing users and import all again ldap?
