Large Server Farm deployment into single server farm for tuning

I have a production environment as follows:

" Windows Sharepoint Service(WSS) Site runs on a pair of network load
balanced HP DL380s, 2 processors, 2 GB RAM. It sits ahead of a SQL
2000 Cluster, a pair of DL580s with 4 processors and 2 GB of RAM.
Sufficient disk space."

I was told to improve the performance of the site accessibility. If I
configure a single server farm(everything WSS, search/index/job
servers, database server in one machine) and deploy the production
site on that will help me to find out the bottleneck issues of the
site? or Do I need to deploy the same type of environment.

Please can anybody help me to analysis this issue?
