Large Files

  Asked By: Grace    Date: Feb 18    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1047

There have been a couple of recent postings indicating Sharepoint
doesn't handle large files well in all circumstances.

In one thread it was suggested to put the data in Sqlserver use
Sharepoint to view SQLserver table data. Can someone lead me to water
on this? Where do I start?

Look at Data View Web Parts (DVWP) in Front Page. I think you can use them as a
front end to SQL tables and such.

In front page on the page you want to create a view  into the data  go
to View-->toolpane

On the toolpane choose data source catalogs. There is a place to add
SQL connections there. You choose your connection information and it
should hook right in. You can then select and choose the informatino
you want to expose, how to sort it, and how to present it.
