Keeps asking for username and password

I have a user that wss v3 is only asking for username
and password, some how his email address is also in
the username box but even when changed it asks him
when entering the toplevel site and opening word docs.
this is not happening with the other users.

sounds like the user  has a saved password  on his/her workstation. in the control
panel double click on user accounts, then the advanced tab, and manage
passwords. this area should not have any saved passwords, and if it does remove
them.
