Keeping a SharePoint Contact List in sync with Active Directory

Asked By: Keaton Boyle         Date: Mar 17, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 311

Does anyone know if there is a way to keep a SharePoint Contact List
in sync with our contacts that we use for exchange? We want 1
repository for contact information. When someone changes a public
contact through Outlook, we would like the changes to show up in the
SharePoint Contact List.

We use orgfinder (www.orgfinder.com) – not only allows you access to exchange info but users can update their own info.

This is a small feature that we can add.

We manage contacts in AD, contacts in exchange already, we can synchronize with sharepoint as well.

Having said, this is a 'feature', All by itself may not make sense.

SharePoint provided a feature called as Profile Synchronization Job. Which can be sechudled for Profile Synchronization , in Minutes\Daily\Hourly\Weekly even you can Disable it.
