K2.net (especially their newly released "black pearl" version) is one of the
top 2 BPMS (business process management systems) for .NET and MS Office.

Take also a look into AgilePoint BPM from Ascentn. www.ascentn.com

It integrates closely with SharePoint, Form & Excel Service and has a real

Workflows and Processes are an integral part of (LOB) systems. Though there is a wide range of BPM systems available, they focus on automation of processes in an isolated fashion. Some does analysis of the process and then the development team automates the same. This way the entire BPM environment is completely isolated or poorly integrated with the actual LOB application at the User level. On the other hand Embeddable BPM solutions offer better integration but then they take away advantage of standalone BPMS such as centralized management.

Skelta BPM with its unique architecture offers the advantage of centralized standalone BPMS platform through its Enterprise Console. So people can model, simulate, analyze processes, manage application forms, UI and even create fully integrated applications using Enterprise Console and can manage process and application specific artifacts for entire enterprise. Skelta’s unique embeddable capabilities enable the actual application to have very contextual BPM integration. With embeddable controls for Process Modelling, Analysis, Execution, Work queues, and BAM, users can manage and control processes without ever leaving the application. This gives true agility, thereby fulfilling the promise of BPM. Leveraging these unique capabilities, several OEMs/ISVs have embedded Skelta as an integrated BPM offering for their products.

Skelta also offers the capability to deliver multiple, simultaneous task alerts and responses through the Web, e-mail, SMS and telephony. It offers multitenancy and online access to the environment, thus enabling a SaaS/cloud version to reduce barriers to access and use.

In the SharePoint context, Skelta offers an accelerator which is a powerful full service BPM solution that seamlessly integrates Microsoft SharePoint and WSS to your business processes. It extends advanced BPM functionalities like web-based process designer, comprehensive workflows, extensive reporting, KPIs & Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) and lots more to your SharePoint environment. The BPM capabilities coupled with Microsoft SharePoint results in an integrated platform for collaboration, business intelligence, enterprise content management and strategic composite applications.
