JD Edwards PDFs searchable in MOSS

Asked By: Pallavi    Date: Feb 15    Category: MOSS    Views: 1010

I am working for a company in Houston that has Sharepoint and JD
Edwards. The General Manager wants to be able to search the PDF files
embedded within JDE from Sharepoint. Does anyone know if the ADF file
for JD Edwards has been created (and implemented) to do that so PDF
file contents inside JDE can be found from the MOSS Search engine?

What is an ADF file?

This sounds more like a jdelist.com question. Sharepoint would be able
to index any content that it can read. Give it the service account and
the URI and that should be it right?

Implementation of the PDF's would be JDE's job.

An Application Definition File....xml file used for declaring an
external application for the BDC (Business Data Catalog) to allow it
to be crawled from the SSP. JDE HAS PDFs already. I want to be able
search them using the MOSS search  engine functionality.
